NOTICE: 2014 IEEE-USA Annual Meeting

We cordially invite all Section and PACE Chairs to attend the 2014 IEEE-USA Annual Meeting being held with the inaugural IEEE Conference on Innovations in Technology (InnoTek2014), on May 15 – 18th at the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick, Warwick, Rhode Island. We encourage you to actively recruit all Section and Area Chairs as well as your Section/Chapter PACE Chairs to attend this exciting event.

This year’s event is being organized and hosted by the members of the IEEE Providence Section and Region 1. Held in scenic New England, this venue is the perfect opportunity to bring your family along for a few extra vacation days. Weather in May is usually bright and sunny in the lower 60s to low 70s. Download the meeting tri-fold at:
http://sites.ieee.org/innotek/files/2014/01/2014AMTC_ProgramFlyerRev6.pdf.

Registration is open. Early registration ($495, same as last year) is good until 15 April 2014 after which the fee increases to $595.

Our hotel is the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick. We have negotiated a very low rate of $135.00 per night (plus tax) for a standard room. The standard rooms are expected to sell out quickly so attendees are encouraged to reserve their rooms as soon as possible.  In order to secure these low room rates, reservations must be made by Friday, 18 April 2014.

We have also arranged a private dinner reservation at the Waterman Grille for all Region 6 attendees on Friday evening.

The conference website is: http://sites.ieee.org/innotek/.

Reminder – the early registration for the Annual Meeting ends April 15. After that the fee rises by $100.

Please again encourage your Sections to send a representative, It is crucial for the PACE and IEEE-USA program that the local Sections attend and get informed. There are some new things happening this year.

Please send an email with confirmation of your attendance.

I look forward to seeing you in Providence in May.

Keith Moore
IEEE Region 6 PACE Chair
