Seminar talk: Magnetic Nanoparticle Swarm for Active Delivery by Dr. Li Zhang

September 22 @ 1:00 am - 2:00 am
Boise, Idaho, United States, Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/280790, Boise, Idaho, United States, Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/280790 + Google Map

AbstractIn nature, various types of swarm behaviors occur, such as a flock of birds and a swarm of ants, which stem from local communications of limited individuals. Through collective pattern formation and reconfiguration, these animals dramatically change their swarming patterns according to the environment they interact with. To date, some large-scale robotic systems can well mimic the complex swarm behaviors of natural creatures through algorithm design and wireless communication (Science, Vol. 345, 795–799, 2014). However, due to the absence of…

Digital Storage and Memory for AI from the Edge to the Data Center

Applying AI at the edge and endpoints often requires working under non-data center environments and in power constrained conditions. AI inference also requires significant memory to hold weighting values from training. New non-volatile memories can help provide more memory in a given device die and use less power than NOR flash, SRAM or DRAM. This presentation will talk about changes in the memory/storage hierarchy and how it will change memory and storage in data centers and embedded devices to support…
