2016 IEEE MGA Outstanding Large Section Award – IEEE Santa Clara Valley Section

Dear Joseph Wei:

On behalf of the IEEE Member and Geographic Activities Board (MGA), I am pleased to formally advise you that the IEEE Santa Clara Valley Section has been selected as the recipient of the 2016 IEEE MGA Outstanding Large Section Award. The Section was selected for this award on behalf of your activities for the 2015 calendar year. The selection was approved by the Member and Geographic Activities Board during its 18 June 2016 meeting.

The Member and Geographic Activities Board is pleased to honor the IEEE Santa Clara Valley Section for their outstanding support to IEEE and Region 6. This award consists of a plaque, which carries the following citation:

“For successful efforts in fulfilling the educational and scientific goals of IEEE for the benefit of the public by maintaining, enhancing, and supporting the Student Branches, Technical Chapters, and Affinity Groups of the IEEE Santa Clara Valley Section in Region 6.”

IEEE Virtual Career and Talent Expo

Region 6 is hosting an IEEE Career and Talent Expo June 1-30, 2015.  This unique event will link IEEE members to companies looking for individuals with our members’ skills and talents.

This virtual event, FREE for all IEEE members, will provide participants the opportunity to match not only your technical experience but also your personal skills to jobs requiring those skills.  A world recognized talent report is being provided to all Expo attendees, at no charge, to assist with 7 advantages for your career including: self awareness, resume writing, personal branding, 30-second commercial, a self-marketing tool, interviewing skills and the potential to be matched to a new job.

Microsoft Is Hiring; The IEEE Job Site Is the Place to Go

From 1 to 21 October 2012, the IEEE Job Site will host a free Cloud Computing Virtual Career Fair sponsored exclusively by Microsoft. The career fair will allow software engineers to conduct job searches and apply for open positions in Microsoft’s Server & Tools Business. Microsoft staffers will be available for a Live Online Chat during the week of 12 October.
