Funding Partnerships and Opportunities

There are several opportunities for funding of K-12 activities from within the IEEE:

IEEE-USA
IEEE Foundation
IEEE EAB (Educational Activities Board)

IEEE-USA

  • The IEEE-USA’s K-12 Literacy Committee’s K-12 STEM Activity Fund that helps teachers to sponsor innovation and creativity in or outside of the classroom. These funds provide small amounts of money for novel ideas that introduce engineering to students. See https://www.ieeeusa.org/volunteers/committees/pec/teacher-grants.html
  • Region 6 makes PACE Project funds available for the support of professional activities such as K-12 in IEEE Sections, and Chapters. To obtain funding, Section or Chapter PACE Chairs must complete a Section Project Plan and Financing Request form, obtain supporting signatures, and file the form with their Regional or Divisional PACE Coordinator. When a project is completed, the related Final Project Report form must be filed with the same individuals. IEEE Foundation

  • The IEEE Life Members Fund of the IEEE Foundation supports IEEE activities of interest to Life Members, potential engineers, and engineering students. Generous donations are invested in initiatives that:
    • Excite students about STEM – science, technology, engineering, and math
    • Empower young minds to purse careers in IEEE fields of interest
  • Annually, the IEEE Life Members Committee provides funding; see https://www.ieeefoundation.org/Grants

IEEE EAB

The IEEE EAB Pre-University Education Coordinating Committee (PECC) is pleased to announce the establishment of Maker Event Seed Funding to assist IEEE Sections, Chapters, Student Branches, affinity groups, and individual IEEE members in engaging pre-university students through participating in maker events in their local community. https://www.ieee.org/education_careers/education/preuniversity/maker_funding.html
