IEEE Women In Engineering 6th International Leadership Conference (WIE ILC) Focuses on Sustaining Women in Technology Careers
IEEE WIE ILC 2019 provides professional development training that helps women around the world thrive in engineering and technology fields and will be held on 23-24 May 2019 at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas.
This sixth annual IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference, themed “Lead Beyond,” will convene more than 1,000 STEM leaders from around the world who work to inspire, engage and advance women in technology. A key focus of the IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference is providing training and workshops aimed at increasing retention of middle to senior level women in technology fields, and to help promote them further in their careers.
“The IEEE WIE ILC continues to grow in importance as a unique event with an agenda specifically tailored to help support and sustain women in technology fields around the world,” said IEEE Senior Member Kathy Herring Hayashi, chair, IEEE WIE ILC. “These efforts are reinforced by our valued corporate sponsors and partners whose commitment to diversity comes with a recognition that retaining and training women leaders can bolster innovation, promote best practices and ultimately lead to revenue growth.”
Keynote sessions will provide engaging tracks on innovation, empowerment, executive leadership and disruptive technologies, featuring leading speakers from industry. Keynote speakers include Candace Worley, Vice President and Chief Technical Strategist, McAfee; Victoria Mitchell, Vice President Technology Services Group, Arm Ltd. and Negar Feher, Vice President of Product and Business Development, Momentus Space.
