Who Can Apply?
Teams of 1 to 3 members made up of: University Students – Professor teams and Young Professionals (YPs). Must be IEEE members.
Selection Process:
- Two Rounds of Online Judging via Zoom
- Live Final Judging in Seattle at the Conference
- Bonus points for real working demos that showcase innovation and feasibility.

Three Global AI for Humanity Challenge Categories
I. Smart AI for Humanity – This category focuses on how artificial intelligence can empower humanity in areas from emergencies and first responders. Innovative solutions for farming, food security, clean water, ensuring sustainable sanitation infrastructure, and preventing disease outbreaks.
II. AI-Driven UAVs, Humanoid and Robots – This category highlights the use of drones and robotics to extend human capabilities and strengthen human self-reliance. Innovations may include tools for disaster prevention and rescue, smart farming, accessibility support, surgical assistance, elder care, and autonomous hospital services and more.
III. AI for Healthcare Innovation – This category invites groundbreaking innovations in medical technology that harness AI, with or without ultrasound, to advance healthcare. Areas of focus include novel diagnostic tools, drug discovery, precision therapies, and targeted treatments; Neuro and brain–computer interface innovations for disease prediction and rehabilitation; AI-integrated ultrasound devices for physiotherapy, rehabilitation biofeedback, wearable monitoring systems, and applications in regenerative medicine and cell therapy.
Judging Criteria & Copyright – Entries will be judged on innovation, technical merit, impact, and feasibility. Proposals with working prototypes, products, or demos will score higher. All work remains the intellectual property of participants but must not infringe on others’ copyrights or patents. Selected projects may be showcased with participant consent.
