IEEE 2020 Annual Election Results

The results of the 2020 IEEE Election have been announced. Turnout was approx 17.4% (51,000 ballots).

IEEE President-elect: K. J. Ray Liu, IEEE Fellow, was elected as the 2021 IEEE President-Elect. Ray will begin serving as IEEE President on 1 January 2022. He will succeed 2021 IEEE President Susan K. “Kathy” Land. The other candidates for IEEE President-Elect were Saifur Rahman and S.K. Ramesh.

R6 Director-elect: Kathy Hayashi was elected as the 2021-2022 IEEE Region 6 Delegate-Elect/Director-Elect. She will become R6 Director in 2023-24, succeeding current Director-elect Tim Lee who becomes R6 Director on  1 January 2021. Scott Tamashiro and Chris Gunning were the other candidates nominated by Region 6.

TAB VP-elect: Bruno Meyer was elected as the IEEE Technical Activities Vice President-Elect, 2021 over F. D. “Don” Tan. He will become VP TAB on 1 January 2022.

IEEE-USA President-Elect: Deborah M. Cooper was elected as the IEEE-USA President-Elect 2021 over Keith A. Moore. She will succeed James Conrad as IEEE-USA President on 1 January 2022.
