Our IEEE Texas Technical tour is almost complete and as you note the early registration date of May 1st has past. However, we still have a few open slots for a few more travelers.

PROGRAM:

Texas is the home to a number of centers of technical excellence of national importance, as well as several key IEEE historical awards including Milestones celebrating technological breakthroughs or turning points. These will form the basis for a number of technology-oriented visits throughout Texas.

The Tour, limited to 50 guests, is scheduled for mid Oct 2019 and will consist of a 10-day bus tour of significant technical sites in Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Dallas. Cultural and historical sites will also be included along with many social events with local IEEE members. Spouses are welcome.

The Tour starts with guests checking in at the Hilton Plaza/Medical Center Hotel on the evening of 9 Oct 2019. A come & go reception will commence that evening to welcome guests to Texas. The next morning, there will be a welcoming breakfast before heading out to our first days events, starting at the NASA Johnson Manned Spacecraft Center. See Program Highlights below for the full schedule.

The “Come and Go” welcoming reception will begin at 4 pm CST on 9 October at the Hilton Houston Plaza/Medical Center and close at 8 pm so that guests can get a good nights sleep.

This tour is not limited to only IEEE Life Members or IEEE Members but is open to all guests of IEEE as well.
