IEEE (ieee.org) is the largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. Geographically, IEEE is divided into ten Regions. Region 6 (ieee-Region6.org) covers the Western U.S. – from Alaska to New Mexico and Montana to Hawaii.
During the weekend of August 9-11, we are organizing a Student Congress for IEEE Student Branches of the Universities in Region 6. This event would be hosted by IEEE Student Branch at Stanford University and would include keynote speech, contests, workshops, student officer training, industry tours, and door prizes. We are seeking your organization’s contribution to cover a portion of the budget for this event, either cash, or in-kind.
All funds collected will be used to support the Student Congress or specifically identified student initiative. Major sponsors will be recognized in publications, media releases, and signage at the Congress in accordance with IEEE Policy. We have established the following Sponsor funding categories:
Main Sponsor …… Over$25,000
Platinum Sponsor …… $10,000-$25,000
Gold Sponsor………… $5,000 – 10,000
Silver Sponsor …….…. $1,000 – 5,000
Bronze Sponsor ……… up to $1,000
Sponsors may take an active role at various events and program activities. Additionally they are invited to have an exhibit booth or company display that will provide the attendees with information about the company, explanations of the company’s use of engineers and opportunities for technical professionals, key corporate projects or initiatives, and other program information that the company would like to distribute.
The corporate display is intended to accomplish several purposes:
– It explains what the company does in the technical community
– It highlights company contributions to technology and engineering
– It describes what jobs engineers and technical professionals do and how they contribute to the success of the company.
– It challenges the students by providing educational objectives and requirements that are required by the company.
– It highlights other educational or outreach initiatives that the company supports
