The Institute Online ( www.theinstitute.ieee.org ) has been re-architected and re-designed. The website it replaces was built in 2002 and had no interactive tools or social networking features. The new website is a much more suitable environment in which to showcase IEEE members and their activities and to better promote IEEE and its products and services.
What’s new? Content is now easier to find because it’s been separated into channels: People, Tech Focus, Benefits, Briefings, Opinions, Region News, and Career and Education. And there’s more content: Slideshows, some created with images from IEEE History Center, videos from IEEE.tv and members, and podcasts based on interviews conducted by The Institute’s writers now supplement the text articles. And readers can get their Institute news via RSS feeds.
