Agenda and additional info for Fall R6 NW/NE Area meeting

Thursday, October 6th, 2016
If you are coming to the Area meeting in Seattle on October 15th please register and make your travel arrangements as soon as possible. You’ll need to register on both the Eventbrite link (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ ieee-r6-nwa-meeting-tickets- 27332274569) and the GHTC registration page ( http://ieeeghtc.org/ registration/). The GHTC online registration deadline is Oct. 12th. Students who are coming need to register too. See the “Registration and hotel information” attachment for registration instructions and other details.
If you arrive early enough on Friday, you’re invited to attend the GHTC dinner and awards ceremony Friday evening. The dinner starts at 6:30pm. If you plan to attend, please indicate so when you register on the GHTC site. There’s a survey page near the end of the registration steps where you can do this.

I’ve attached a couple reports from Kathleen Kramer that have student branch contact info and membership numbers. If you see that the contact info is out of date, please ask the branch to report their current information. See http://www.ieee.org/ membership_services/ membership/students/branches/ officers.html for the reporting links.
Quick summary of the region reimbursement policy for this meeting: the region will reimburse travel costs for one officer per section. The region will also reimburse for two student members or one student and branch adviser per student branch, unless more are approved by Tom in advance. Reimbursement will include one hotel night; additional nights need to be approved by Tom in advance. This is all explained in more detail in the attached “Save the Date” email.
As always, if you have questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Thanks,
Chris
