This is a continuation of a very popular talk we had on December 2017. Please join us for an encore/recap and more insights into business leadership.
Growing up in a fourth generation family business, I was always curious why some businesses prospered while others stagnated or even failed. I focused my studies at Harvard Business School on small to mid-size businesses, finding their smaller size and flatter organizations made it easier to decipher the “signal” from the “noise.” In small and midsize businesses, authentic leadership, sound judgement and calculated decisions often have greater impact than market forces and industry trends. Post-graduation, I set out to acquire a business to grow and in that process evaluated over 1,000 businesses in over 200 industries, providing even more insight into what makes a quality and sustainable business. In the presentation I will share with you 15 key business lessons I learned both at Harvard and in my search for a business. I will demonstrate how I applied them to successfully grow my business.
