Announcing IEEEXtreme 12.0

IEEEXtreme is coming – spread the word!

IEEEXtreme is the global competition in which teams of IEEE student members compete in a 24-hour time span to solve a set of programming problems. IEEEXtreme 12.0 will be held October 19-20, 2018.* Teams of up to three collegiate students who are IEEE student members can compete. A local college or university may form multiple teams.

Region 6 will sponsor the top-scoring team in the region to attend the IEEE Rising Stars Conference in Las Vegas in January. Help spread the word and encourage Region 6 students to compete.

Sections and Computer Society chapters: Volunteer to proctor and provide food and other support for your local teams during the competition. Inspire and offer incentives for students in your sections to compete. Some sections have lined up great awards including sending their top local team to Rising Stars.

Student branch volunteers and advisers: Promote IEEEXtreme on your campus. Come up with your own awards and incentives. It’s a great way for student branches to recruit new members.

Students: Get with a friend or two to form a team and join the fun! Teams can register now.

More information about IEEEXtreme can be found here or please contact Chris Gunning.

*Region 6 time zones. Specifically, IEEEXtreme starts Oct. 20 at 00:00:00 UTC.
